Sondra has been an individual and family counselor for over 10 years, working with a diverse group of individuals who need support to rebuild and maintain positive relationships.
As she travels on her Doula journey, her personal experiences with infertility have been a natural transition to support mothers, partners and families in the journey to parenthood and beyond. She knows first hand the impact of infertility on a woman's sense of self worth and on the partner relationship.
She has been fascinated with childbirth and the transition to parenthood from a very young age. She believes that having the right support prenatally and throughout pregnancy can help build family connection and ease the transition to parenthood.
She is a certified Doula through Doula Training Canada (formerly Healing Arts Learning Association). She has her BA(hons) in clinical psychology and Child and Youth Care Diploma. She also has training in working with trauma, Postpartum mood disorders and mediation practices.
